Cisco Unified Call Studio, developed by Cisco Systems, Inc., is an Eclipse-based development environment for designing, testing, and deploying interactive voice response (IVR) and self-service applications for Cisco Unified Customer Voice Portal (CVP). Using a graphical, drag-and-drop call-flow editor and a library of prebuilt elements, teams can quickly build VoiceXML applications that deliver personalized, speech-enabled experiences and integrate with enterprise systems.
Key capabilities include support for speech recognition and text-to-speech, multi-language and localization tools, and flexible integration via REST/SOAP web services, databases, and custom Java code. Call Studio provides design-time validation, simulation and debugging tools, and streamlined packaging and deployment to the CVP VXML Server. Its extensible plug-in architecture enables reusable components and connectors, while built-in logging, configuration options, and a version-control-friendly project structure support reliable operations and collaborative development. With Cisco Unified Call Studio, contact centers can accelerate IVR delivery and provide scalable, consistent self-service that seamlessly hands off to live agents within the broader Cisco contact center ecosystem.
